The connectors,
which are physically connected to the motherboard, are used to interface
the internal devices with the computer. The ‘Integrated Data Electronic’
(IDE) devices like the CD-ROM drives or the hard disk drives are connected
to the motherboard through the IDE connector. The floppy disk drive connectors
are used to connect the floppy disk drives with the motherboard to facilitate
data exchange. The power supply connectors are used to connect the power
supply unit to the motherboard.
